Kyowa Hakko U.S.A., Inc. Announces Increase in Amino Acid Prices

New York, NY – Kyowa Hakko U.S.A., Inc., manufacturers of the industry’s most extensive line of Amino Acids and related compounds, including D-Amino Acids and Branch-Chain Amino Acids, announced that it will increase prices for its specific line of L-Amino Acids by five percent, effective April 1, 2008.
Amino Acids are produced at Kyowa Hakko’s four manufacturing plants located in the U.S., Japan, and China. Amino Acids are used in a wide variety of pharmaceutical and nutritional applications.
“Recent increases in costs for energy and raw materials along with the ongoing investment necessary to keep pace with the growing demand to produce top quality ingredients require us to increase prices,” said Chikakuni Kotani, president of Kyowa Hakko U.S.A., Inc.
