Expert to Discuss Brain Nutrients, Glutathione at Advanced Applications in Medical Practice Conference

Dr. Gina Nick gave two presentations – one on optimizing brain function and another on detoxification and neuroinflammation – at the Advanced Applications in Medical Practice (AAMP) Conference, June 1-3 in Scottsdale, AZ.

“Glutathione, Detoxification and Neuroinflammation” was the topic of Dr. Nick’s first session on Sunday, June 3 at 11 a.m. MST. She outlined science behind glutathione, considered nature’s “master antioxidant” for its ability to replenish the body’s reserves. Dr. Nick provided overviews of “gold standard” glutathione studies that reference the absorption, bioavailability, and detoxification power of this critical compound.*

In her presentation “Brain Nutrients and New Medical Technologies for Optimizing Brain Function,” Dr. Nick discussed the effects of nutrition and various forms of transcranial electrical stimulation (TES) on cognitive processes. Her talk highlighted the newly described influences of key brain nutrients – including Citicoline – and TES technologies on cognitive function. Dr. Nick will show that together, citicoline and TES reveal important mechanisms of action that provide neuronal protection and improve brain metabolism and mental health.*
